Root Canal Treatment

This treatment is carried out on a tooth to avoid having to remove it. A tooth is made of 3 layers, from outside to inside, Enamel – Dentine – Pulp (nerve). It is carried out under local anaesthetic and involves removing diseased pulp tissue from the inside of the tooth and shaping the inside of the tooth.

The procedure is usually complete after 2-3 visits by filling the root canal space by a material designed to prevent pain and infection from recurring.
